Determine SMART goals in a company, in the study, in important life activities. It’s marking the path to success or achieving it. Because goals generate a direction to follow and at the same time are a part of the motivation and commitment of the team or yourself.
The objectives to be useful need to be raised in an appropriate manner. To enhance the work in the field that is needed and just SMART objectives solve this.

What is a SMART goal

The word SMART can be thought of at first that refers to smart. Partly there may be some relationship, but these acronyms refer to a strategic approach. Its acronyms mean: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timely (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and finally temporary)

It refers to the need for accuracy and easy to understand by all who participated in them. This means that the objectives are well defined so that efforts at that point can be approached very well.

This aspect has to do with the timeframe of the process of achieving a goal. At the heart of this approach is to stipulate the desired time and growth clearly. Remember that anything that cannot be quantifiable is impossible to improve.

It involves being realistic and getting this idea across to the entire team or being able to recognize it yourself. As a golden rule, never exaggerate on targets, making it unrealizable. Honesty is a fundamental companion on the road to success.

It refers to recognizing the capacity that is available in relation to the selected objective. That is, objectives that are within your means and for which you have the necessary resources.

It is important to set deadlines to achieve your chosen goals. This also involves adjusting to a calendar the activities or steps that will be taken to reach the goal.

How a smart target is built

You start by determining where you intend to go. Without having to define a single, general goal. Remember that SMART goals are also a set of very specific goals to achieve something.
To start producing smart goals you can follow these steps:

Instituting the goal
The objectives can be described with questions in this case What do I want to achieve with…? Why do I want to do it? What is required to carry it out?

Employ a study of: Weaknesses, threats, strengths and opportunities

This analysis is known as DAFO, it consists of a study tool that is useful to be able to make sound decisions with possibilities of advance planning.
When applying this analysis you have to be direct and very objective. You can’t analyze your business or organization without taking into account the actual status of your business or organization. Another point is that you only focus on the current situation, the data for a DAFO analysis is based only on concrete facts.

Write down your goals on a calendar
This is important to visualize the deadlines that each goal may require and also better visualize the work needed to reach them.

Consider the commitment
Without constancy and strong commitment the results are more difficult to achieve. It may even be the cause of failure.

Do you know how long it takes to perform each task of you day by day? Not in most cases. The same goes for a job, if you don’t know how much time it takes is probably wasted. Instead you can set reasonable deadlines you can do more with less time than before.

Improve the use of Powerpoint to get more impactful presentations, knowing the 10 tabs and their main tools. For the next important presentation it will be in 3 months. Dedicating 3 hours a week and taking a full online course. Because in my career it demands a lot of presentations with slides.
